Pre-conference session
We kicked off the conference with a burst of creativity at the PSI pre-conference! In our “Rewired Care: Disrupting HIV with Artificial Intelligence” ideation session, participants generated over 300 innovative ideas on how AI could reshape HIV testing, prevention, and treatment in South Africa. These ideas included ways to spark demand for testing, personalise care, and streamline clinic operations. Read the preliminary summary from this session here.

BE Workshop
We hosting an interactive session introducing participants to behavioural economics through a series of engaging thought experiments and real-world case studies. The session highlighted how behavioural insights can be applied to improve public health, with a special focus on HIV prevention and care. We were excited to see so much enthusiasm for embedding behavioural science into South Africa’s health response.

Oral, poster, panel discussions

We’re grateful to everyone who made the conference a success, especially the conference chairs, Dr. Candice Chetty-Makkan and Dr. Kate Rees, and the scientific committee for their leadership.

A big shout-out to our amazing HE²RO team and EAB members for the great presentations in the plenary sessions. Beyond the sessions, it was also wonderful connecting with our partners and building new collaborations along the way.
