Problem to address: Increasing uptake of HIV testing among men

 

Intervention: As an addition to the pre-existing Tutu-tester (mobile HIV-testing), we included a peer delivered U=U message when inviting men to test at the nearby Tutu-tester. For the Standard of Care arm (SOC), men were informed the Tutu-tester was nearby and available for testing.

 

Intervention timeline/length: 2 weeks

 

Findings: Men receiving the U=U message were 1.6 times more likely to get tested than men in the SOC.
